It turns out that I had postgres listening on a nonstandard port,
because I installed 9.5 while 9.4 was installed, it picked a different
port for the config file because the standard one was in use, and then
when I removed 9.4 the 9.5 config file was already there.

I guess this bug should become "Please do not segfault in the background
if the database server is not there", but reporting bugs to the version
of kdepim currently in testing seems like beating a dead horse, with the
new kdepim finally being on its way through experimental (fingers
crossed).

I haven't tried if a dash in the name works once postgres runs on the
right port, though.
