Does switching to the VT console (e.g. ctrl+alt+f1) and back again (ctrl+alt +f7) unfreeze things? If so, this might be the same bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1399396 I'm experiencing this on two different machines, one using the radeon driver and another using the nouveau driver.
