Bug#847665: libqt5widgets5: Please backport tray icon fix to jessie
Package: libqt5widgets5
Version: 5.3.2+dfsg-4+deb8u1
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream patch
Dear Maintainer,
Qt 5.3 has a known bug which causes XEmbed tray icons not to show up (in XFCE,
at least) about 50% of the time due to a race condition. The bug is fixed in
Qt 5.4, but since jessie is frozen at Qt 5.3 the fix needs to be backported.
The upstream fix is here:
https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/104886
https://code.qt.io/cgit/qt/qtbase.git/commit?id=612953a626ec21b8518ee23a4f5268b566cf41e5
I have rebuilt Qt 5.3 packages locally with this patch and can confirm that it
fixes the problem for me.
