¡Hola Francois!

When one tries to drag a tab there is a lot of lag at the start of the drag gesture. As a result the tab is likely to be trailing the mouse pointer by inches so that figuring out where the tab will end up is quite confusing.

For a bug such as this a video is worth a million words so I recorded a drag session and uploaded it there:

Note that this is not a new bug: it has been there for at least a year.

The workaround is to mark a pause between pressing the left mouse button and dragging the mouse around.

I can't reproduce the same behavior as shown in your video. The tabs aren't immediately floating when I drag them, but there is ^ marker showing where the tab will be placed. I'm not sure what controls the color of the '^' marker, but it might be possible that it's not visible in a black background for your current color theme.

Anyway, I have forwarded the bug upstream: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371939

Please, consider subscribing to the bug for possible follow ups with upstream.

Happy hacking,
