Package: ffmpegthumbs Version: 4:15.07.90-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, The ffmpegthumbs (and also mplayerthumbs) packages used to provide thumbnails for video files in Dolphin. With the transition to KDE Frameworks 5 in progress, they stopped working, apparently because they are only built against KDE4. Upstream has already fixed this: See https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/118545/ Please add a ffmpegthumbs5 package that works with KF5, or make the ffmpegthumbs package compatible. Thank you. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386, armel, armhf Kernel: Linux 4.2.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages ffmpegthumbs depends on: ii libavcodec-ffmpeg56 7:2.7.2-2+b1 ii libavformat-ffmpeg56 7:2.7.2-2+b1 ii libavutil-ffmpeg54 7:2.7.2-2+b1 ii libc6 2.19-22 ii libkdecore5 4:4.14.10-3 ii libkio5 4:4.14.10-3 ii libqtcore4 4:4.8.7+dfsg-3 ii libqtgui4 4:4.8.7+dfsg-3 ii libstdc++6 5.2.1-17 ii libswscale-ffmpeg3 7:2.7.2-2+b1 ffmpegthumbs recommends no packages. ffmpegthumbs suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

Since version 15.12.0, ffmpegthumbs is ported to Frameworks and thus should provide thumbnails in Dolphin again. Hence, closing with the first version in Debian.
