Further confirmation from Debian 8/Jessie - on a default install using DVD #1 and KDE as only installed UI. Only tweaks to system are changes to colour schemes etc and a couple of startup services to do innocuous things like hdparm and set kdecache to /tmp
Logout from the Launcher kills X and drops me to a login console, whereupon if I reenter credentials I get a text login only.
This is really not useful (nor was the lack of response to it here) so further attention would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
