Oops... I have forget to tell you the credentials

user: root
pass: password

user: debian
pass: password

in the image you have downloaded the kdm.service is stored in /lib/systemd/system/ directory

if you delete it and reboot you can expirienced the error in journalctl log

systemd[1]: Cannot add dependency job for unit display-manager.service,
ignoring: Unit display-manager.service failed to load: No such file or
directory.

I think it's a normal behaviour if kdm does not provide service file as do other Display Manager like GDM3 and SLIM
