   * What led up to the situation?
After upgrading packages based on qtbase-opensource-src from
5.5.1+dfsg-7 to 5.5.1+dfsg-8, running iceweasel under gdb in a konsole
window under KDE would lock up the entire KDE session.

Running iceweasel from the command line in a konsole window under KDE was
however successful.
