Bug#794768: kde-window-manager: the scren freeze after a while and everything freeze

I just had the same problem and noticed that running the activitymanager would also freeze plasmashell.
Then I removed .cache and removed all information about Activities in the various config files
(in .local, .config, .kde -- I'm not sure which one is the current)
now it seems to work again.

the problem in my case occurred shortly after installing AndroidStudio, which at some point ran out of disk space.
It might be the culprit...
