Hello,
I had some issues with kdepimlibs that could probably have been
mitigated by improvements in the package descriptions:
- apt-cache search akonadi does not show kdepimlibs5-dev. Having the
description list the libraries included in kdepimlibs5-dev would have
helped, especially because the "obvious" name of libakonadi-dev leads
to a package that exists, but that is not the package I would imagine
most would be looking for.
- I've spent 3 hours writing software using the kcal library, then I've
been told that it has been superseeded by kcalcore. The list of
libraries in the package description could also carry that
information.
I just noticed that the README has such a list; I think it's worth
copypasting it into the package description:
