Package: baloo4 Version: 4:4.14.0-1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer, I found that searching for files using e.g. by Dolphin do not find any source files like *.cpp, *.c, *.hpp, *.h. . Then I found in baloo source code (http://code.woboq.org/kde/kdelibs/baloo/src/file/fileexcludefilters.cpp.html) that all source code mime types are excluded by default from indexing. This makes baloo useless for me. I have no option to switch off excluding those mime types. I work a lot of witch source codes, so would be good to see source code files in search results. The best will be if there will be possible to switch off excluding of these files in baloofilerc configuration file. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.14-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages baloo4 depends on: ii baloo-utils 4:4.14.0-1 ii libbaloocore4 4:4.14.0-1 ii libbaloofiles4 4:4.14.0-1 ii libbalooxapian4 4:4.14.0-1 ii libc6 2.19-10 ii libgcc1 1:4.9.1-4 ii libkdecore5 4:4.14.0-1 ii libkdeui5 4:4.14.0-1 ii libkfilemetadata4 4:4.14.0-1 ii libkidletime4 4:4.14.0-1 ii libkio5 4:4.14.0-1 ii libqjson0 0.8.1-3 ii libqt4-dbus 4:4.8.6+git64-g5dc8b2b+dfsg-1 ii libqt4-sql 4:4.8.6+git64-g5dc8b2b+dfsg-1 ii libqtcore4 4:4.8.6+git64-g5dc8b2b+dfsg-1 ii libqtgui4 4:4.8.6+git64-g5dc8b2b+dfsg-1 ii libsolid4 4:4.14.0-1 ii libstdc++6 4.9.1-4 ii libxapian22 1.2.18-1 baloo4 recommends no packages. baloo4 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

Hi, It is now possible to configure the file filter with the package kde-config-baloo-advanced. Then you can change the filter in systemsettings -> Desktop Search Advanced (file filters tab). I am closing the bug, but if you think it's wrong, please re-open it. Regards, AdrienAttachment: signature.asc
