Reading the bug log it seems that the slave got killed due to a timeout, probably caused by the server answering an unexpected BYE for a FETCH. This seems to happend half way through the folder update, so it could be due to a specific mail, if you can still reproduce the issue, it might be useful to do a binary search to find such message (if any). I'm tagging the bug as unreproducible and it will probably be closed in the future for kmail2 if there is no more information.
