So, could you report if you can reproduce the issue with 4:4.13.1-1 (or newer), if you can, the issue is hardware specific, and we'll need to bother you some more. The kmix package doesn't provide a -dbg package, you could rebuild kmix package with: DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS='nostrip noopt' apt-get -b source kmix to get a .deb package with symbols and compiled without the compiler optimizations (that make the debugging more confusing).
