I believe I attached it to my original report, does it look sane to you? :)

At least, the patch is already used in openSUSE as far as I know and
is also in process of being included in Gentoo (those are the distros
I care about, besides Debian, and have a somewhat close contact with).

I'm afraid that adapting ~500 kLOC codebase to Qt5 is a little bit
more challenging that such a tiny patch as proposed in the original
report.
