As far as I can remember, KUrl falls back to http and from that to google
search if the entered uri is not managed by something else. It may be a good
idea to have a dumb sftp handler to avoid the propagation, or, even better an
sftp plugin that adds the missing license exception (note that such plugin
can't be inspired on the current sftp plugin).

I'm asking help in this bug to anyone willing to provide a patch with either
plugin.

gnutls could replace libssl in libssh, which needs to be done in the openssh
packages (I'm not sure if this is a good idea, though), but the sftp konqueror
plugin uses libssh. So, please, ping the bug #676650 if you want to see to
happen.

Alternatively, upstream could add the license exception, but, so far, they
have refused: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337397
