Bug#240256: kmail: Include an option to force 8-bit sending of mail

Control: tag -1 + unreproducible

Hi,

Upstream closed this issue in kmail2 (4.8.5), as the code changed considerably
after switching to akonadi, but I don't see much changes in the code related to
this issue, the code is in kdepimlibs in kioslave/smtp/smtp.cpp, with the same
logic as reported in 2004.

I'm not sure if there is any smtp server still running that doesn't support
8BITMIME, eventhough I tried disabling my postfix 8bitmime with:
smtpd_discard_ehlo_keywords = 8bitmime
but even then the mails were sent without any issues. :/

So, can you please let us know if you can still reproduce the issue?

Happy hacking,
