No, what I am saying is that, at least the default style's visual hint for 
keyboard shortcut uses the symbol on the key to mean the key and uses 
modifiers to mean that the key needs to be pressed while the depict 
combination of modifier keys are held.

I am not aware of any keyboard that uses lowercase letters on its keycaps, but 
if course if you have such a keyboard that the visualization hint would not 
match what you are seeing, leading you to the assumption that you must hold 
the shift modifier to achieve the depict keystroke.

Maybe you could file a feature request against Qt to allow toggle for people 
such as yours with a keyboard with lower case characters on their keycaps.

Interesting. Whenever I hit the A key it does indeed invoke the reply-to-all 
functionality. But then of course all my keyboards have upper case characters 
depict in the keycaps so there was a direct visual similarity between the 
shortcut hint and the actual key.
