Bug#706783: kmail scrolls too far in message list

Dear Maintainer,
With kmail open in the usual 3-pane view the upper right panel has a message
list. There is a scroll bar to its right. When I click on the scroll bar
above the slider the message list jumps forward a bit too much. If I have a
message line at the top that is only partly visible and I click above the
slider, the same message appears partly visible at the bottom. It is never
fully visible, nor is the information in the line decipherable.
I expect that as I click to scroll all messages will appear fully visible at
least once.
My expectation from other email clients is actually that the top message line
displayed will appear as the bottom line displayed after I scroll, providing
assurance that I am seeing all messages. It was only because of of the lack of
this behavior that I noticed the main problem reported here.
