The log section you pasted suggests that there is a problem with the dbus daemon
on your system or that kde can't connect to it. Please check if you have
dbus-daemon --system running, which should be started by /etc/init.d/dbus

And it should be listening in /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket (please check
this with lsof).
