If a user clicks the Console login menu item in KDM, it never returns to the graphical login afterwards. See KDE bug 312947 [1].
If a user gets into such trouble, there is nothing he can do, unless he has root privileges to restart KDM.
As this bug is not fixed upstream yet, a possible workaround for wheezy can be to disable console login action in KDM by setting default AllowConsole kdmrc option value to false. There already is kdmrc_defaults.diff patch, so this shouldn't be too hard.
