Bug#699468: okular: CTL issue: copy persian words (right-to-left) to clipboard results in wrong order of the letters
Package: okular
Version: 4:4.8.4-3
Severity: normal
Tags: l10n
Dear Maintainer,
when I mark a persian word (which is right-to-left language) in a PDF file and copy it to the Clipboard, it arrives in the wrong order
(e.g. 'word' becomes 'drow'). Therefore Okular unluckily becomes unusable for me.
I reproduced it using Okular with different PDF files.
I compared it with qpdfview and libreoffice (using the same documents) which copy the words in the right order.
I compared it with iceweasel using words from a persian website, which copies it in the right direction.
I installed the Farsi/Persian support for KDE (kde-l10n-fa) and changed locales to Persian, which didn't affect the error.
Thanks alot for your work!
