I met this bug too.

After I remove following files, I can login now.

.kde/share/apps/plasma
.kde/share/apps/plasma_applet_news
.kde/share/config/plasma-desktoprc
.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc
.kde/share/config/plasmarc
.kde/share/config/plasma-netbook-appletsrc
.kde/share/config/plasma-netbookrc
.kde/share/config/plasma-overlay-appletsrc
