Evening sir,Here are information about that I do to test the shortcuts of Kmix (Version 4.1, Kde Version 4.8.4). My system is up to date, and from this action Kmix sortcuts works partially.
First :Right click on Kmix Icon and select tha master channel. master channel selected is "Master", sound card is SB Live! 5.1 Dell OEM [SB0228] (rev.10, serial:0x80661102) at 0xc000,
Driver used EMU10K1 - SB Live! 5.1 Dell OEM [SB0228 Second : Open configuration menu and select shortcuts config:1- Click VolumeUp in the first column and custom the shortcut by pressing on the right key on the key board.
2-Repeat this action for VolumeDown and Mute. 3-Accept this config by pressing Ok. Third:1-Keep Kmix screen open, and test VolumUp, and VolumeDown. Miracle this done ! 2-Press on Mute Key, the sound is rely muted, Press again on Mute and the sound remain muted. What append ? Mute key put OFF "Master and PCM" and when you press again only Master volume is become ON. PCM remain muted.
Forth :1- On the mixer screen make PCM On, now all thing done as describe in Third §.
2- Close Kmix screen. 3- Press on any shortcuts, NO THING APPEND. If you restore the Kmix Screen all thing done as Third §. OTHER concern on KMIX- Some controls are not restored when Kmix is launched : Bass and Trebles remain to 0 and not at the last values set bay the user.
NOTE:Do not set the shortscuts key's in the auxiliary or Global column in the shortcuts Config menu. This does not work.
So the problem is not solved, because i am not able to find the sources of Kmix where the shortcuts are managed.
