This is not grave since something still works. Too bad it chokes on the inbox 
folder though. When did this problem start happening?

Install kdepimlibs-dbg, attach gdb to the running kio_imap4 kioslave process 
(gdb -p <process id>), send backtrace [1] here.

Also check ~/.xsession-errors
