I've installed kde-l10n-fr, switched the language of gwenview and kpat to french 
and apparently everything is in french, I have:

$ apt-show-versions kde-l10n-fr
kde-l10n-fr/sid uptodate 4:4.4.5-1
$ apt-show-versions gwenview
gwenview/sid uptodate 4:4.4.5-2
$ apt-show-versions kpat
kpat/sid uptodate 4:4.4.5-1

Do you still have the problem? Could you please check if you have the latest 
kpat and gwenview?
