Here is the patch used in Ubuntu. hal is moved to a suggests (it has runtime code to fall back gracefully if hal isn't available). Further it turns out the dependency on hal is actually on the wrong package, it should be on libqtsysteminfo1 not libqtserviceframework1 Jonathan
