Bug#595283: krfb: shift key not working from remote keyboard
Package: krfb
Version: 4:4.4.5-1
Severity: important
When connected to a system running krfb, pressing the shift key on a viewing/client system does not work as expected.
Pressed in conjunction with nearly all keys, the shift key is ignored. The exceptions appear to be the 9 (nine) 0 (zero) and , (comma) keys.
I've tested this using VNC clients running on both Windows XP and Debian systems. The results are the same.
Without a functioning shift key, usability is seriously affected, hence "important" rating.
This bug sounds identical to KDE Bug 182073: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=182073
Can someone verify this? If so, there is a patch already available.
