Bug#581349: [kate] Copy+Close removes copied text from clipboard

# ps ax|grep klipper
 4207 ?        S      0:00 /usr/bin/klipper

It is also running as my user. I can copy and paste around the world when kate 
is still running. Is it a upstream bug or debian related? I could not find a 
similar bug report in kde so it sounded to me like debian related
