Package: akonadi-server Version: 1.3.1-3 Severity: normal I just noticed that 1.3.1-3 has a dependency on mysql-server-core package which consists of only the mysqld binary. Shouldn't the dependency be mysql-server-core | mysql-server and then, Recommends: mysql-server-core For whatever reasosn, I ended up with amarok using the system instanace mysql and using a database there. I configured akonadi the same way. (I understand that akonadi does not use mysql database for storage but only for cache, but for amarok, that might not be correct) With this new dependency that you have introduced, the system instance package will have to be removed. Another possible use case could be a user wanting a system instance mysql running on his workstation box. How will akonadi-server be installed there ? Sorry. My bad. The version I looked at at was 5.1.45-1 where as in 5.1.45-3, this has been taken care of.
