Package: dolphin Version: 4:4.3.2-1 Severity: important I've tested under two user accounts and the root account and all three exhibit the same behavior. When I choose to display hidden files in ~/ either through the menu or via alt+. dolphin consumes 100% of one cpu core and it becomes laggy while navigating. When navigating other folders, the problem seems to go away. Perhaps this is due to the number of .files and .folders in ~/? I use the command line mostly so I can't say when this actually started but I've only noticed this recently. Wiping out the .kde folder doesn't solve this behavior. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.31.1 (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages dolphin depends on: ii kdebase-runtime 4:4.3.2-1 runtime components from the offici ii kdelibs5 4:4.3.2-2 core libraries for all KDE 4 appli ii libc6 2.10.1-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libkonq5 4:4.3.2-1 core libraries for Konqueror ii libphonon4 4:4.6.0~rc1-1 Qt 4 Phonon module ii libqt4-dbus 4:4.6.0~rc1-1 Qt 4 D-Bus module ii libqtcore4 4:4.6.0~rc1-1 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4:4.6.0~rc1-1 Qt 4 GUI module ii libsoprano4 2.3.1+dfsg.1-1 libraries for the Soprano RDF fram ii libstdc++6 4.4.1-4 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii phonon 4:4.5.2-1 Qt 4 Phonon module metapackage Versions of packages dolphin recommends: ii kfind 4:4.3.2-1 file search utility for KDE 4 dolphin suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

Dear reporter, you've received on 2010-03-20 the last of a series of e-mails from me, which partly provided more information on the reported bug and also asked you for confirmation, that this bug has been solved. As of now (2010-04-17) there hasn't been any reply by you, I assume the bug has indeed been fixed and you no longer have any interest in this bug. Therefore I'm closing the bug now. In case this was premature and the bug still exists, please consider contributing directly to the upstream bug, which has been linked to this upstream report. You can, of course, also reopen this bug report and provide further information. Especially answers to the questions I've sent to the bug report to help fixing the bug.
