One of the tips produced by ktip is (from /usr/share/apps/kdewizard/tips):

If you know its name, you can <strong>execute any program</strong> by hitting
<strong>Alt-F2</strong>
and entering the program name in the command-line window provided.<p>

This sounded useful, so I was disappointed when it didn't work.
Apparently the current key binding is "Meta-Return".
