Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.5.5.dfsg.1-4
Severity: normal

I have four cached IMAP accounts configured. All four accounts use
SSL/TLS, three with plaintext passwords and one with GSSAPI
authentication. The plaintext passwords are stored in the KDE wallet.

When KMail starts, it asks for the password to unlock the
wallet. When I enter the password, KMail shows an error dialog box
with the message that "the process for the protocol imap://... has
died unexpectedly", referring to the IMAP server that uses
GSSAPI. After I press OK, KMail shows new messages fetched from the
other three accounts, but it apparently didn't succeed in connecting
to the one with GSSAPI. I have to refresh that account manually to
initiate a new connection and get the new mail.

The problem does not appear if I enter the password quickly, within a
few seconds after the dialog box appears. But if I wait more than
that (and I usually do, since this happens at login when many other
processes are starting), I consistently get this error message.

Something seems to time out while waiting for the wallet to be unlocked.
