Package: kdm
Version: 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-5
Severity: important

When I upgraded kdm to this version and restarted KDM, using "sudo
/etc/init.d/kdm restart" from /home/bloom, the file /home/bloom/.Xauthority was
created with root:root ownership, and so I couldn't log in using kdm because
none of my X clients could access the server.

When I restarted the computer, things behaved normally again. I suspect that
kdm is creating .Xauthority for the kdm greeter in $HOME when kdm starts or
something like that.
