I configured kscreensaver to show a blank screen after some minutes and to lock the screen a few seconds later.  Neither happens.

I tried other themes but that didn't change anything.  It just doesn't work.

The package kicker shares the screen lock issue with kscreensaver.  I reported separately on this.

I set severity to important as I can uninstall this package without loss of functionality.

I am closing because this is an old bug unreproducible. If you have still
problems try on the users mailing list: http://lists.debian.org/debian-kde/
before reporting.
