Bug#527121: printer-applet: error message "client-error-bad-request" pops up on every startup
Package: printer-applet
Version: 4:4.2.2-1
Severity: normal
I'm seeing the same problem every time I log in, only in English. :-) I'm using
a UTF-8 locale, AFAICT, so I don't think it's that. I have seen some strange
lines in /var/log/cups/error_log:
E [30/May/2009:21:11:41 +1000] Bad request line "^V^C^A" from localhost!
for example (the "^V^C^A" appear to be actual escape codes; I had to view the
file in less to see what they were).
Note that I'm quite sure I've only seen this come up after CUPS in testing
upgraded from 1.3.8 to 1.3.10; IIRC there was no problem before that. Of
course, it's possible that 1.3.8 just errored silently.
Peace,
Brendon
