Bug#537357: usb devices gets not found after upgrade

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA512

Package: kdebase
Severity: normal

I have absolute no clue which of the thousand of kde packages introduce
this error so I fill it against the main package kdebase. Please feel
free to reassign it to the right package.

I also have no online access to the machine where I have the bug. (I
normally do not use kde at all except kdm.)

On the system which I did update from etch to lenny after the update no
usb stick is recognized any more. The dbus seems to work fine as I can
use pmount to mount the stick(s). Only there is no window in KDE telling
me that there is a new device as it was in etch release.

I tried to test this issue down with a fresh account to get ride of
possible leftovers in the $HOME. It was the same problem.

I also hoped that this issue will go away when the distribution is,
well, a bit more stable and well-hung. But it still doesn't work.
