Hi,

There is a printer setup option by default in KDE 3.5 (System Preferences), so I missed it in 4.2. I searched around for this issue and found the following:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdeadmin-kde4/+bug/331192

Though it is not exactly the same bug, it is the closest thing I found related to what I am experiencing. Since this bug targets system-config-printer-kde, I supposed this was the proper package to address.

Also,

http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.2_Feature_Plan

states that kdeprint has been replaced by system-config-printer-kde.

If you mean that KDE4.2 has not (yet?) a printer setup option integrated into System Settings, I will close this bug inmediately.
