Package: kcontrol Version: 3.3.2-1 I configured the screensaver with kcontrol-3.3.1-4 some months ago and everything was ok back at that time. Some weeks ago -- a while after update to 3.3.2-1 -- I noticed that the screensaver didn't start. When I tried to check the configs in kcontrol, I got nothing useful. I was able to play with the times' settings which got saved but didn't come into effect. And there weren't any screensavers to choose. I then configured xscreensaver and at least the screensaver did start up again. I still didn't get any screensavers to choose from within kcontrol, but if I change the times' settings now they come into effect. It doesn't matter which screensaver related packages I have installed. First I had these packages installed via dependencies through kdeartwork: kscreensaver kscreensaver-xsavers xscreensaver xscreensaver-gl xscreensaver-nognome I purged kdeartwork and the xscreensaver packages and only installed kscreensaver but the effect is still the same -- only rudimentary configuration for kscreenserver. I am using Debian GNU/Linux 3.1, fully patched, only packages from stable installed.Attachment: signature.asc

Version: 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-2+rm Hi, You filed the bug http://bugs.debian.org/318502 in the Debian BTS against the package kcontrol. Debian has switched to KDE 4 in unstable and kcontrol does not exist in KDE 4. Therefore, I am closing this bug as fixed in *unstable*. The bug will remain open for stable since it is shipping KDE 3.5. systemsettings is the replacement for KDE 4 of KControl. Ana
