No, since this is not targeted for lenny, we are not plannign currently upload
it to unstable.

I have tested, and i can not reproduce the problem, updating from 4.4.0-4
and 4.4.0-3 :(

yes, add experimental sources to your sources.list and ask for updating
packages to experimental. By default, unless you state so, you won't get
experimental packages. More info about this, read about Apt Pinning.
