Hello,

I've got a fresh KDE3 installation (32 bit here).
kwin misses there everytime to start - I've to launch it with kdeinit
kwin first which is realy annoying and far from usability.

Closing my session in a clean way and restarting => same effect.

Xorg.0.log / kdm.log and .xsession-errors don't give any informations
about any problem.

Hi Patrick, Hans and Adam,

it seems this is fixed for you all, so closing :)
My bet here is you do need x11-utils with latest kdelibs and kdebase update,
and in some moment you have x11-utils missing and/or kdelibs/base outdated.

Ana
