Package: konqueror Version: 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-6etch1 I inserted a USB stick. A window appeared with the following text: window title: KDE Daemon A new medium has been detected. What do you want to do? Medium type: Unmounted Removable Medium Open in New Window Do Nothing I selected 'Open in New Window'. A Konqueror window appears on 'system:/media/sda'; also an error message appears: window title: Error - Konqueror A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" member "Mount" error name "(unset)" destination "org.freedesktop.Hal") The Konqueror window remains open but is useless (attempting to e.g. create a file produces a similar message to the above). ttfn/rjk

I will close the bug, you are free to reopen it, but it just will rot in the BTS until it is closed when KDE 3.5 dissapears, and the issues that annoy you are unlikely to be improved if you do not report them in the correspondant packages.
