LC_MESSAGES should override LANG [1], however in the following environment:

* LANG=it_IT.UTF-8
* LC_MESSAGES=en_GB.UTF-8
* LC_ALL unset

QtLocale::system().name() returns "it_IT" instead of "en_GB".

This bug is already known upstream [2].

to retrieve the system's locale environment variables:

Debian Release: lenny/sid
  APT prefers unstable
  APT policy: (500, 'unstable')
Architecture: amd64 (x86_64)

Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-19-generic (SMP w/2 CPU cores)
Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash
