Package: linux-image-2.6.25-2-686
Version: 2.6.25-6
Severity: important

linux-image-2.6.25-2-686 does not work with KLaptop. I'm not sure why. It's always worked with the
other stock Debian kernels and ACPI does work with this kernel, but when I run the "klaptop_check"
command, KLaptop fails to start.

When I open the "Low Battery Warning" and "Low Battery Critical" tabs
of the "Laptop Battery" page in KDE's Control Center, I see the following message:

"Your computer seems to have a partial ACPI installation. ACPI was probably enabled, but some of the
sub-options were not - you need to enable at least 'AC Adaptor' and 'Control Method Battery' and then
rebuild your kernel."

I looked through the "/boot/config-2.6.24-1-686" and "/boot/config-2.6.25-2-686" files to find those
options, but I couldn't find them in either file. (In other words, I cannot find those options in the
config file of the kernel that works with KLaptop, nor can I find them in the config file of the
kernel that doesn't work with KLaptop).

Just to confirm that ACPI works:

Let me know if I can provide you with any more information or otherwise be of assistance to you.

Thanks!

Closes: 460809 480707 489985
Changes:
 kdeutils (4:3.5.9-2) unstable; urgency=high
 .
   +++ Changes by Pino Toscano:
 .
   * Make superkaramba replace karamba (other than conflict with it), should
     provide a smooth upgrade from etch to lenny. (Closes: #460809)
 .
   +++ Changes by Ana Beatriz Guerrero Lopez:
 .
   * KDE_3_5_BRANCH update (up to r833501):
     - Translations and deprecated entries updates in desktop files.
     - kgpg: fixes for memleaks and exporting multiple keys to keyserver at once.
       (Revisions: 818283, 818284, 822717,  830494)
     - ark: update mimetypes. (revision: 793293)
     - superkaramba updates. (revision: 788160, 813022)
   * Remove klaptopdaemon, it does not work with Debian kernels 2.6.25 or newer,
     that are built now without the option: ACPI_PROCFS_POWER which provided
     the battery and ac interfaces on /proc/acpi/{ac,BAT} on what klaptopdaemon
     relied on. Thanks to Raúl Sánchez Siles for looking at this. Changes made:
     - klaptopdaemon is now a transitional package that installs kpowersave.
     - Removed klaptopdaemon | kpowersave depend on the metapackage, and added a
       Recommends on kpowersave instead.
     - Add NEWS file about this.
     (Closes: #480707)
   * Replace build depend on xutils with xutils-dev.
   * Update section in doc-base files.
   * Update lintian overrides.
   * Add OnlyShowIn=KDE to kdewalletmanager so it is only shown in the KDE
     desktop. (Closes: #489985)
