Package: kamera Version: 4:3.5.2-1+b2 Severity: important I have just purchased a Canon A610 digital camera, and I manage to access it successfully through gphoto2/usb2.0 (with both front-ends gtkam and digiKam). Note that this hardware is quite new, and not yet precisely recognized by my version of gphoto2). I am quite sure that my camera is accessed through the PTP protocol. However, when I try to use it with the kamera plugin, by typing "camera:/" as URL in konqueror, things do not work properly : I can see all camera files in the konqueror file list, and I manage to copy/paste (or open) all the images (which are about 1Mb size). But for the movies, only short movies can be copied. For movies above 14 to 20 Mb (don't know the exact limit), the transfer seems to work (several seconds elaps, and I see the led of the canon flashing, indicating a usb tranfer), but at the end of the transfer the resulting file is empty : 0 byte. Same problem arises when I perform a drag/drop. Same problem when I choose "open file" in konqui : viewer says "error". -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.4.24-1-686 Locale: LANG=fr_FR@euro, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR@euro (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages kamera depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.2-2+b1 core libraries for all KDE applica ii libc6 2.3.6-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.0-1+b1 GCC support library ii libgphoto2-2 2.1.6-10 gphoto2 digital camera library ii libgphoto2-port0 2.1.6-8 gphoto2 digital camera port librar ii libstdc++6 4.1.0-1+b1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 kamera recommends no packages. -- no debconf information
