Maybe, though Gerfried responded with a more likely hypothesis: Sune just made me aware of that my reported bugreport against ipe seems to root in #431773. That bug makes ipe fail to build on hppa. So it isn't hypothetical anymore but there is real evidence of that this raises problems. [c.f. Bug#433768] Bug #431773 says: On hppa, the symlink /usr/share/qt4/mkspecs/default points to a nonexistent linux-g++ directory. This can prevent other packages from building on hppa if they rely on qmake project files. Cheers, -Steve
