Assuming a release cycle of 18 months, there are two options for KDE:
-latest kde3 release
-new kde4
The KDE4 release roadmap was published about a month ago, and it aims to
release KDE 4.0 in the end of October 2008. They are currently in track to
follow this calendar, but given the changes from kde3 to kde4, a delay of
a few months would be totally understandable.
In the other hand, we currently have 3.5.6 released and packaged in
experimental, 3.5.7 will be released in a few weeks, and i think we even
may have 3.5.8. All this releases mostly fixing bugs.
I would love release Lenny with KDE4, but I do not know if it will be released
and ready in time, so, now i only can point to release Lenny with the latest
KDE3 and review this in 6 months when (hopefully) KDE 4.0 has been released.
