Bug#416386: More information

This is a dual CPU machine, and if I am using a GUI (KDE), it
seems that only 1 CPU is being used (looking at gkrellm).
Anything making a new window is slow, whether it is a KDE program
or not (Firefox and Iceape for example). Starting programs from
the KDE menu is slow. Adjusting headings in a window is slow.
Switching desktops in KDE is slow. Moving the mouse around seems
normal.

I normal listen to music with amarok. If the amarok windows are
not active, things seem okay. If the desktop with amarok is
active, I can get music to have starts and stops by forcing other
things in that desktop to open windows, or adjust windows.

Any text only sessions seem to be fine.

Moving to another xserver and starting a Gnome session, things
work fine in gnome.

It is just KDE.

Gord
