Package: kppp
Version: 4:2.2.2-14.6

Hi, I'm using an external serial modem wytek 56k and kppp to connect my pc to
internet.
I notice that when the connection is up, if I swtich to the console with
alt-ctrl-f1, kde crashes and restarts.
I've realized that this is caused by kppp, because if I kill kppp, leaving pppd
running and so the connection up, I can switch to the console without problems.
The crash comes every time I switch to the console, with the connection up and
kppp running.
In the logs I can't find anything about it.
I've searched on the web and in the newsgroups, but i've not find any
informations that can be useful to understand what happens.

I use Debian GNU/Linux 3.0-woody and I've the same problem both with the
original kernel 2.4.18. the kernel 2.4.20 and the kernel 2.6.0-test2.
The version of kde is the 2.2.2.

Thanks for your help, have a good day, Paolo
