Yes - in the beginning there was some problems. But they were - as you noticed
fixed around beginning of december - and finally migrated to etch at
christmas time.
Can you be a bit more specific on when it started for you to somehow drop
data ?

The weird thing is, that there is no changes to kpilot in the releases after
the -3 release on december 5th, except a libmal-dev, a package that wasn't
used for building, was removed from build-dependencies.
The changes between -3 and -6 are:
kdepim (4:3.5.5.dfsg.1-6) unstable; urgency=high
+++ Changes by Josh Metzler:
* Add kmail.README explaining the correct way to use Disconnected IMAP and
warning that incorrect usage can result in mail loss. (Closes: #321102)
+++ Changes by Sune Vuorela:
* Add 27_dimap_warning.diff to explain the correct way to use dimap when
creating a dimap account. (Also closes: #321102)

Okay.

Some more specific information about when it started to behave weirdly.
If you could try testing it with maybe the -3 version from
http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2006/12/06/debian/pool/main/k/kdepim/ it
would be very nice.
Thanks in advance
