Hello Olivier,
as I still use sarge (3.3.2-1sarge3), there wasn't that much progress
here and the bug is still there.
As I do not intend to install etch soon I will not be able to check
newer versions of these packages within the next few weeks.
But you could do the check yourself:
1. create a new user account
2. call kcontrol
~ a. configure screensaver
~ b. configure k-menue
~ - create a new submenue, eg. "more"
~ - move all submenues and entries into this
~ submenue, excluding "system"
~ - check the screensaver settings. You should see
~ a list of screensavers to choose from.
~ - move "system" submenue into "more" submenue.
~ - check screensaver settings again. You should see
~ an empty list of screensavers.
There are two hidden directories in your $HOME, ".config" and ".local".
This applies to version kde 3.3.2. I don't know if it applies to newer
versions as well.
bye
caspar
